The great poetess Avvai has described about human birth as follows, “It’s harder and harder to be born as human beings; still more harder is the fact that human birth without infirmities like blindness, deafness, physical handicap etc.” The Trouble and tribrlatims such handicapped human beings – whether natural or man made face in their day to day life to meet their needs and necessities are innumerable.
The prime factors behind such handicap of a child are his/her patents. Trying to terminate pregnancy, malnutrition, insufficient prenatal medical care, marriage among close relatives are some of the reasons for physical deformities. Instead of rearing such children with care and passion, most parents relegate then as symbols of indignation.
If such children fell into the clutches of some selfish and antisocial elements, they are further trained for engaging in begging, involving in antisocial activities etc.
If one wishes to prevent such activities, service-minded people like us should initiate some action to mend their lives.
